Project Development and Program Evaluation

Lead consultant and author of the Business Plan for Avenues of Change in Coquitlam River

Coquitlam River was one of two original neighbourhoods involved in United Way Avenues of Change. The goal of Avenues of Change is to reduce vulnerabilities in young children through broad-based family support and community development. Working with private and public partners in Tri- Cities, Elizabeth supported the lead agency, Westcoast Family Centres Society, in securing funding, designing the project, and measuring program impacts for the first three years.

Organizational Development

Worked with multiple partners from the private and public sectors to create a governance model that would sustain this innovative program.

Alisa's Wish Child and Youth Advocacy Centre provides one-stop wrap-around service for children and youth exposed to violence or abuse. After successfully piloting the program and obtaining on-going funding, the founding partners contacted Elizabeth when they needed an experienced consultant to guide them in the creation of a secure governance model and their first Strategic Plan. Partners included the school district, police, counselling services, transitional housing, victim services, child protection, and others.

This project was commissioned by the BC Society of Transition Houses and funded by the BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development.
